Professional conferences and leadership gurus are often urging individuals, especially women and underrepresented minorities, to get a mentor to simply help guide them and advance their jobs. It is advice that is great not always simple to follow.

You must locate a mentor, ideally some body that is a good fit, persuade them to partner to you, then work out how to take full advantage of the connection. With their component, mentors are occasionally (frequently?) aggravated by mentees whom are not clear inside their requirements, provide little in exchange and apparently choose prospects with regards to their name, as opposed to a suitable match.

A Seattle startup called Tribute wants to simplify and smooth these relationships with a platform its founder is dubbing “the Bumble of business mentorship.”
